If it weren't for the technology of me dropping a pin on my location one day I would have had an extremely bad situation. I ran out of gas at 11:00pm in a bad neighborhood and my phone was on 2% 😩 I sent my SO my exact location and text "running out of gas. Phone dying". He was at work yet was able to leave and find my exact location. If you don't want someone to track you then don't let them 😂 Simple.

As long as *both* people in the relationship are good with having it and using it then it's not controlling. But if one is pressuring the other into getting it, or saying that only they're allowed to watch as you go home then that would be considered controlling.

I actually have this app and I absolutely love it. I've included a screenshot (edited for my security and safety) of where you can select your destination and report your area of nervousness and/or call the police. Alerting the cops does require a verification, so there is no accidental false alarms. I highly recommend it for anyone that wants an extra extra layer of security and a way to ease some of the anxiety around traveling alone.

My s/o and I agree we may get something like this. Not for controlling issues. I'm pregnant and I walk everywhere. If somethings happens he could easily find me to pick me up. It's not like you can't turn the feature off when you don't need it.

I think it's a good idea, my so rides home at 12am 3 nights a week and I worry about him, it'd ease my nerves, he also looses his phone at least once a month and has had 4 stolen so hopefully it would help find it when it happens

I used to run at night during the summer and my bf would always worry. He'd make me text him as soon as I got back lol ..so I like the idea, don't know if I'd actually use it
