rushing for gender. Why?

i really want to know the gender but i think its more exciting waiting 18-20 im going to find out gender when im 17 weeks in 3 wewks and im so happy i waited because the weeks get more fun and exciting for me plus ill be closer to the half mark which is also cool

Not me, if I could know at conception the gender that would be ideal. I personally find nothing fun/or exciting about waiting to half way or until delivery. That's just me though.

Finally someone that is not rushing! I am just like you and waiting until 16 weeks. A lot of ladies are doing the genetic testing just to see the sex. I think it's a little ridiculous as the genetic testing is to test for defects. What ever happened to the excitement of not knowing?

Good for you :) we are not as patient as you! But we have a lot of construction ahead for baby's room and need to know colors so we are eager to get everything ready so in 3rd trimester I don't have to stress about having so much left to do. I picture rocking with my bump in the finished nursery. No harm in knowing early :)

I agree! We are waiting until birth to find out the sex. We think it's way more exciting that way. There are beautiful gender neutral nursery ideas on pinterest!

I agree 100%. We opted against the testing and didn't even care about the gender. Each part of pregnancy is special and I'm excited to have a "pregnany announcement" and a "gender announcement." It gives us something to look forward to. We will find out at 20 weeks.

I would love to know the gender.. But at the same time, right now I'm so sick and constantly tired that i just couldn't get excited! I'm happy to wait until the half way mark. I'll (hopefully) be feeling great and it gives me something to look forward to!

I agree I also wanna wait and meanwhile I'll be torturing myself with these home gender predictions haha just for fun :) most Diffently having something to look forward to also :)

I agree. With our first we found out over the phone at like 10 weeks and it felt so not special. This time I'm 13 weeks. I had the genetic blood test again but asked them not to tell me the gender. I'm not sure when we'll find out but for now it's in an envelope in my chart. I just want to hold off a bit to give me something to look forward to later on.
