OBGYN or Fertility specialist?

Hi glow users, my insurance doesn't cover any infertility treatments. Do you suggest to cut some costs and go to an OB or straight to the specialist? (I've been ttc for 3 years)

I'm in the same boat, insurance-wise.

Have you been contributing to Glow First? Because that will help offset the cost. Also, my husband and I do the 52 week money challenge (google it!). This is our 2nd year doing it, and we decided that we are going to use that money for fertility treatments.

DH and I also sat down and talked And decided that we would only do x amount of fertility treatments/treatment types before we would stop and start looking into adoption. It's a huge bummer, but if we can help out a child, we know it's the right thing to do. We also hear stories about couples getting pregnant after deciding on adoption because they relax and stop caring about TTC.

Specialist  and look into Kaiser, they cover up to 20K a year in infertility.

They may not cover the infertility treatment but they might cover the cost through the whole diagnosis period.

I would go to your ob gyn my husband and I tried for 2 years before we finally went in to my obgyn and two months later we were pregnant.  And my insurance covered my visits and medications. It's always worth trying first!

Specialist - my OB could only do so much and it turned out to be at our detriment. Her treatment was actually killing all the sperm and we had no idea!!! (Ps it was clomid)

Yeah, my OBGYN has done all he can do, so I'm going to a RE specialist tomorrow.  I've been TTC for 2yrs.
