I don't know why everyone is saying the pronunciation doesn't go with the spelling. I know two different people with this name, both with the letter C. Pronounced exactly as you wished. "Canaan" -- but I personally love with K's override the letter C. Good luck!

I like it, but I personally prefer the traditional spelling Canaan. One thing to consider: there are some negative associations with the Canaanites in the bible. Not saying that should deter you from picking this name, just something to think about!

That's my cousins name(he's 24 now) and is fine and has never had a problem with his name or with people pronouncing it. People just don't know how to read apparently lol
