I said this on the other poll like this a few days ago but I'll say it again. You're a mom at the moment that you'll feel heartbroken and devastated if something bad were to happen to the little life growing in your womb.

You are a mommy the moment you conceive. You are taking care of your baby inside your womb. Mothers day is also your day.

I thought I was a mother last mother's day (I was pregnant) but everything feels so different now that my little one is here. I consider myself to have become a mother when he was born. 
But I understand wanting to be told happy mothers day while pregnant or feeling you're a mom once you conceive.

My SO and I were talking about this the other night. I was complaining that all I wanted to eat for dinner was mac and cheese, but that I have to be good now, because I am someones mum. He pointed out that I wasn't a mother yet, as our daughter still hasn't been born- to which I replied, "Well, of I'm not her mum, what am I? Just an incubator?" 
I feel like I became a parent when my partner and I found out that thus pregnancy was viable, and that it was something we wanted.

I'm 18w5d and I'm a mother!  you start taking care of the child the moment you conceive the baby!  If you weren't there the baby wouldn't either.  You literally do everything for your baby!  You are a mom!

My ex told me I couldn't celebrate Mother's Day while pregnant with my first. It hurt my feelings but my mother sent me flowers and a card. You are a mother while pregnant, you're still caring for the child even though they're on the inside!

When I was pregnant on Mother's Day (about to pop) 2 years ago.. My hubby told me Happy Mother's Day at a family brunch and my grandma said... She doesn't get to be told that until next year. Her mom and I get to celebrate it though! I thought it was so rude I was pissed! I think it's up to the mama!
