I have an umbilical hernia from pregnancy and while they were doing the ct scan to make sure it was a hernia they also found a dermoid cyst on my left ovary that is about 5cm. I had to have my right ovary removed when I was 18 due to a cyst so this is very scary to me. Has anyone had a cyst that size and not had to have the whole ovary taken out? I had a csection two months ago and I will most likely have to have surgery for the hernia and I don't think they will do surgery on both at the same time because they are different doctors which means I will be having three surgeries since February.
