Does the implant make you gain weight?

I'm considering getting birth control, but I was wondering if the implant makes you gain weight. I have heard that the pill does but I'm not sure.

I wasn't ever particularly active, but I was a steady 55kg. After the implant for a year I put on 30kg. And I began exercising and eating healthier because I was conscious of it... nothing seemed to work.

(The pill has worked a lot better for me, but everyone is different.)

Try the implant out and monitor how you feel. I have lost 20kg since coming off the implant three months ago without being particularly healthy or active so at least the changes are reversible if you decide it's not for you!

For me it was just a little bit hard to loose weight. The first week I had a lot of cravings but after you get through that first week you shouldn't have a problem with loosing or maintaining your weight. But just a warning it does give you a lot of cravings. So take this as you will, it works differently for everyone. Good luck!

I gained no weight at all with my implant, everyone's different. It's all depends on youe diet as you may feel more hormonal for a while when its first put in

For me, it did! Never want anything like that again XD although I know some girls haven't gained any weight from it :)
