To everyone who responds to questions about the effectiveness of various birth control methods:
It means NOTHING that you yourself have been using a method for X number of years and never gotten pregnant, or that you did get pregnant. You are part of a larger statistic, and just because you are on one one or the other side of it doesn't mean anything to the person asking about their likelyhood of getting pregnant.
The only helpful information when it comes to failure rates is yearly statistics about the likelyhood. Individual accounts are not useful.
