No US until 20 weeks?!

I've never heard of that before! But I just asked my nurse when they do the first one and that's what she said. I don't want to have to wait that long ugh

I've had one but it was literally two minutes just enough time to measure the baby for dating. Then I'll have a second one at 20 weeks.

It's because they cost a lot and most insurances cover only 1. I won't have an ultrasound through my doctor until then so I decided to pay for one through an outside clinic.

I always thought they like to get u in around 13 weeks for a nuc scan I heard if it's past that to much they can't measure the fluid around the neck ?? Don't quote me .. I'm high risk so I've had three since 6 weeks

My doctor only does them at 18-20 weeks. A lady's mom was yelling and screaming last time I went in because her daughter  (who was grown and had 3 other children with her) wasn't getting an ultrasound ar 12 weeks. 
I had an early ultrasound to ensure viability of my pregnancy. (I had to have my iud removed). I'm happy to wait because I know it means my baby is okay now.

They only want to do so many because there are risks! It's really better to get as few ultrasounds and dopplers done as possible!

My dr only does it at 16 and 25 weeks but I'm having the NT scan I'll see it at 12 w 4 d I haven't seen it since 6 weeks!

My first doctors office was like that. I was so mad I ended up switching offices and will have a total of 3 through out my pregnancy. I only got the extra one because I did the genetic testing. Normally they give you 2.

My first two I didn't have one till 18 ish weeks. Things have changed now and they do a dating scan so of course I couldn't pass that up.
