Curious about other bc methods anyone have experiences to star?

I would never recommended the mirena. It doesn't prevent ovulation, it's designed to make the womb hostile to fertilized eggs so it causes you to have chemical pregnancies when you fall pregnant. I wasn't told this till after I'd had one put in and 5 months later I fell pregnant and miscarried. I was told also because it only releases the hormones into the uterus I wouldn't get any side effects. Not true at all. A week after insertion I got a migraine that lasted for 2wks, over the 5 months I had it in I had a migraine for 4.5 of those months. I started getting break outs and genital cysts. My moods were all over the place, I've gained nearly 10kg with no change to my diet and I've had an almost non existent sex drive. I was surprised that I fell pregnant considering how little I've had sex. I got it out a week ago and even in such a short period of time my face is clearing up and my moods are much more stable. No way in hell would I ever get one again.
