500mg Cephalexin , is it safe to take during pregnancy?

I'm 7 weeks and was prescribed these pills before finding out I was pregnant , I wanted to know if they were safe to take during pregnancy , give me help lady's .

Probably not call and ask your doctor before taking them they don't recommend any meds while pregnant really other than Tylenol

I was prescribed this early in pregnancy and did just fine, I now have a healthy 3 week old baby boy. Tmi warning though, it did give me a yeast infection which was no fun!

I was prescribed this while I was pregnant. Its an antibiotic. I asked the pharmacist about its safety when picking it up and she said there haven't been any studies done on pregnant women, but it caused birth defects in pregnant rats!!! So I didn't end up using it...even though its technically allowed to be used during pregnancy. F that!
