Is a smell normal?

Hi ladies. I am 10 days postpartum and am concerned about the smell of the discharge. Anyone else have a strong smell down there ? I'm trying to  remember the end of a period smell lol but I'm also nervous it's an infection smell. Hoping others are grossed out by the smell so I know it's normal. Thanks!

I have an odor too and was also worried. I've also been having yellowish, think discharge. I'm waiting at the dr now just because I wanted to qwell my fears of inspections (I had a severe tear and have quite a few stitches). I'll let you know what the dr says!

Yep! Fourth baby. I shower daily and try to change my pad every bathroom visit whether it's got a little or a lot! Definitely helps :)

I read that the discharge after birth smells "earthy" and I think that's pretty accurate. Definitely didn't smell normal. Sometimes when I haven't had a chance to get to the shower yet (babies make that hard some mornings) it smells worse than others!

I think it's normal. Keep in mind your body is clearing all the crap left in there. Change pads frequently  as well. I also have an odor but it's not the same as a period smell. It's different.

Ugh yes! At first it was so bad I couldn't believe it was actually coming from me! After a few days I realized i also had hemmoroids 😕 once I started treating that, the smell has seemed to decrease.  The things we mommies go through! I'm 5 weeks post pardum and can't believe this happens so much later, I thought I was finally healing up!

I have the  same thing I think it's normal? But I want to have sex soon it's been 3 and a half weeks and I don't want to smell! It's weird though because my blood/ discharge has been light brown, some days almost non existent and then the next day I'll have pink blood again! I thought it was stopping but I guess Not yet. But yeah definitely does not smell good

Mine was a little "off" too. Then I got mastitis and was out on antibiotics and the smell went away. So, I actually think mine was a uterine infection. I had a lot of cramping too. My tummy was tender if I pushed on it.

Happened to me too and smell went away at about three wks post partum. If it doesn't go away or you are worried call your dr.

Pretty sure it's normal! Had it with both babies. I'm almost 4 weeks pp and its pretty much gone :)
