Help?! Diaper overload!

I am due in September and really want to stock up on diapers I know each baby is different in reaction to diaper brands but I'm leaning towards pampers now. I've been reading that Huggies tend to leak more. There are just so many brands and sub brands lol help?! Any recommendations? I'll find out the 25th if it's a girl or a boy :)) but are there diapers that work better for a specific gender?

I LOVED Pampers for my son and plan to use them with my twins due in September.  Many hospitals use Pampers too, so you'll find out pretty quickly if they work for your child.  Some babies need sensitive diapers (which Pampers also makes but tend to be more expensive) and keep in mind this was for a boy.  I've heard Huggies are better for girls, but honestly my complaint with other brands was always the "back" not the front so I intend to at least start out with the same brand for both.  Keep in mind too that unopened boxes can usually be exchanged for other brands.  So if say you buy Pampers, but find that you need sensitive ones, you can probably exchange unopened boxes for the other kind.  Hope that helps!

The only diapers I didn't like were Huggies. Too many leaks and blowouts for us. I used Pampers in the beginning and then switched to Luvs and Sams brand.

I recommend setting aside money or gift cards to buy diapers in bulk later. Each baby is different and some diapers work for some while they don't for others. My son always leaked through Pampers (when he hadn't even gone much) when he was newborn but Huggies was amazing. Now that he is older we can use both Huggies and Pampers (and other brands) and they seem to work about the same. Maybe get a few of each brand to test out?

We started with pampers for my son because my mom bought us 9 months worth of them. Then we switched to luvs and they work great. Luvs are made by the same company as pampers.

Luvs are the best! You can get a couple of small packs of different kinds and than big one's. When your child is born pampers will be what they use. Pampers are horrible for boys.

But use the small packs and find ones you like and than take back the big boxes and exchange them for the one you like :) problem solved.

We started with pampers and then went to huggies. Pampers are the best for newborn in my opinion. But we love huggies little movers for older.

Honestly buy a bit of everything. Don't rely on reviews for diapers so much because u could stock up on pampers and then your baby could end up leaking through them all the time cuz all babies are different like you said. So your best bet is getting a bunch of different! :)

Target brand diapers are great! I would compare them to pampers that's how good they are and cheaper too. My sister uses them till this day on her 2 year old. But you can also buy the small packs just to try out because you might not know how the baby reacts to a certain brand and then you have nothing but that brand. Even though pampers is a great brand and its absorbency is way better than huggies they are scented and some babies do become allergic to the scent.
