Middle name yes/no?

Do we have to have middle names? We are from Germany and we usually pick the name from the godmother. I didnt want that 7 years ago and now I feel a lot of pressure doing it this time. Opinions please!!

Nope. My dad and aunts don't have middle names. It's not required

I think you should do what you feel comfortable with, don't let people pressure you.

Middle names are NOT a necessity and I know I personally wouldn't want someone else choosing my child's middle name for me.

Do what you want not what someone else is telling you to do. It's your child not theirs and if you didn't let the godmother do it years ago why do it know.
