My SO is bipolar. He honestly doesn't think he is, but the chemical brain imbalance pretty much runs in his family on his dad's side. His brother has bad depression and bipolar and so does his dad. Anytime I try to bring up maybe going to a doctor or therapist he instantly gets mad at me, and says he is nothing like his dad or brother. But he has terrible mood swings. And when he's in a bad mood he stays in one. And he will just flat out ignore me or give me really bad attitude even when I've done nothing wrong. It frustrates the hell out of me. I don't know what to do sometimes, like I want to shake him til he snaps out of the mood lol. And the moods can last FOREVER it seems. I try to be nice and supportive, it just isn't cutting it.
