Office Renovations while pregnant?
Hi ladies!
Well, I'm 13 weeks preggo - due October 11! My workplace is starting to renovate everything on Friday, and all the staff are expected to work through it. My office is two floors so basically everyone is going to work downstairs while upstairs is renovated, then switch. I'm worried about paint fumes, and dust / chemicals released during the demolition, and whatever else they might be using to lay flooring etc etc.
Has anyone been through a workplace renovation while pregnant? I talked to my boss about it and they said that I could get a doctors note but that there isn't much they can do to make the area completely fume and toxin free - I would have to stop working for a certain amount of time.
I'd appreciate your thoughts! I'm going to go see my Dr soon but I'd appreciate any feedback or advice in the meantime!
