How is healing?

Question

After giving birth how is healing? I've heard something about using a bottle to spray your junk while you pee? Pain-wise how bad is it? For natural and c section?

That little spray bottle will become your best friend!! 😂 it's honestly not horrible. I tore and had stitches. Three things I never knew when I had my first baby. 1. Those little wipes they give you at the hospital are for your bum do NOT use them on your lady parts. 2. You have contractions very similar to labor contractions for days AFTER the baby is born, especially when nursing. This is your uterus shrinking back down to size. You are not delivering a second baby. 3. The first poo after delivery feels like you are delivering another baby!! Good luck and congratulations!!

I had a vaginal birth with small tears. It hurt to ride in a Car for about 3 weeks... It kinda felt like I was pulling my stitches. Also, very itchy.

Anyway that Peri-bottle will become your life saver. It felt so good...buy some witch hazel. Pour a little bit of witch hazel in there with warm water and you'll feel like you're in heaven!

I had a c section.  And ouch that definitely sucked. The first couple of days are the worst.  By the time you go home it's a little better. Laughing sneezing or coughing (basically anything you use your stomach muscles for) hurts so bad. My family is extremely funny and I'm always laughing.  So the worst part for me was laughing turning into crying because it was so painful.  The car ride home is also not fun. I felt every bump in the road. The hospital I was at was really good with pain management. And you also get some pain meds to take home. I ended up having left over meds so it wasn't too bad. After about 2 weeks I would say I was feeling pretty good.  I still wasn't back to normal but it was a lot better and less noticeable.  If you have to have a cesarean I highly recommend having your spouse or a family member stay home with you the first week home to help you out if you can.  Here is the best part though.  You are in pain yes but the pain of what you go through is nothing compared to the feelings you have of just love for this little baby and it makes it so much easier to deal with.

Man my birth experience was the worst!! I went in to labored water broke at  1 pm on Sunday Jan 31st went to the hospital with mild contractions. As the contractions got worse I asked for an epidural and the places it but it didn't work. They placed it again and it still didn't work. So I had to go natural. I was in labor for 15 hours it took forever for me to dilate I was literally begging for this epidural to work. So finally at 4:00 am on feb 1st the nurse said you're fully dilated and it's time to push it took three hours to get her out I had to get an episiotomy from my vajayjay to my butt (with no epidural by the way) and stitched so finally at 7:03 am my Savannah arrived but she wasn't breathing at first but they got her breathing and she was fine. Me on the other hand was in pain galore. As of now 9 weeks later I still have pain in my vajayjay and even though it didn't work I get nerve shocks in my back from that epidural and my hips are killing me. But I wouldn't have it any other way I got my beautiful baby girl

Natural birth: I tore in three spots. The worst one was my clitoris. You do spray yourself after you pee with an iodine mixture and it's actually quite comfortable in comparison. Lol. The worst part for me is how itchy it gets while you're healing. So gross! I can't wait until I'm completely healed just die to that fact. I have no issues riding in cars or doing small tasks. My butt was sore the first two days after the birth, but that's it. The most "painful" part for me has been breast engorgement. Ouch!

I had both of mine vaginally, small small tears, and the first time was so painful to pee because one tear was right next to my urithra. The second time I was up and walking around in hours and no issues.
Also, yes use all of that stuff the hospital gives you for pp care haha the foam is awesome as well as that bottle. And GET ADULT DIAPERS for after!! Don't waste your time on pads. SWEAR.

I have had both my 1st was all natural no pain med it was not bad 8 hrs of labor & 23 minutes pushing, after you give natural birth yes you do have a bottle to use after you pee to help get blood an pee off you cause you are supposed to dab an not wipe cause of the stitch if you have any if not then you can wipe as normally would but the bottle is very helpful to get you clean.
C section was 1 month & 2 day's ago my 1st time ever to experience it with pain med I did not feel anything till after I was able to get up an go to the restroom I was up less tan 24 hr walking around the sooner your up moving around the best from my experience cause if you take advantage of taking too long on moving around your body gets sore an you hurt to move yes you get pain med but that won't last long it also helps if you take the pain med first then get up an walk a little but not alone it helps your body get active while you can't feel the pain ( Not sure if that make sense).

With Advil the pain was bearable. I had a second degree tear. My epidural took forever to wear off do it wasn't until the next day that I felt like I got hit by a truck. But after 3 days I was walking all over the place. The cold pads felt great. Witch hazel irritated me. My suggestions is to get a cloth like brand of pads. Do not use always because the plastic line net it has on top will give you a horrible rash after a week. You will have a period that will last +/- 3 weeks. Lots of discharge especially if you BF. The best advice I can give you is to do kegels after birth. It helps with the healing process especially avoiding hemeroids. I didn't suffer from them, ever, especially during pregnancy but with the contractions, uterus working itself into shrinking, blood vessels going haywire, I got one and it was awful. It happened a week or 2 PP.

I have only had vaginal births. I tore all the way down to my anus the first time and I'm not going to lie, it was painful. Pooping after delivery is really bad also. But cold packs, witch hazel, and the little spray bottle really help. Peeing can sting a little bit the first few times.

It's not healing that's bad, it's post partum depression.... Crying and crying and crying. Ugh I cried all the time.
