Baby won't burp
My baby girl is almost two weeks old, and it feels like she is impossible to burp! I have tried multiple positions and can only get a burp out of her about a quarter of the time. I am breastfeeding and I have heard that BF babies don't need to burp as much as bottle fed, but she gets the hiccups regularly so I know she's having gassy issues. Any tips for burping a seemingly un-burp able baby?
Edit: her doctor said the hiccups are probably being caused by a gas bubble being trapped under the diaphragm and prescribed Mylicon gas drops. This seems to help some but I'd rather not have to give her meds since she's so little.
