Mucus plug to delivery time?

What is everyone's experience with losing their mucus plug and then how long after dos they go into full labor? Everything I read say it can be days to weeks but a friend said everyone she knows went into labor within 48 hours.

High risk OB told me losing your mucus plug or pieces of it has absolutely no correlation to when you'll go into labor.

It could be hours, days, or weeks.
