Blocked duct?

So I have a lot more nipple pain on my left breast. My 10 day olds latch has gotten a lot better and neither nipple is red or bleeding anymore but my right breast seems to be doing just fine while my left is still struggling.

Last night I felt a small lump near my armpit and I notice that even after she feeds, my breast is still firm in the area of the lump. She also seems to be a little more fussy on that breast.

What should I do about this?

Try the dangle feed. You will feel ridiculous (I know I did) but it worked for me. Lay the baby on the bed and get on all fours. Aim the baby's chin towards the area that is blocked and nurse like that. I felt like a cow and had to do it when no one was home but it worked right away. Google it for more information if you want

Heat, gentle massage, ibuprofen and rest! And keep feeding on the side with the clog. For me they usually take 2-3 days to unclog but hopefully it will be faster for you. If it becomes a recurring problem try taking a lecithin supplement; they take a couple weeks to start helping but it has helped me a lot.

I had the same thing for a long time and it just became more painful. I told my doctor about it and she told me to breastfeed on the good breast and pump on the breast with the huge lump near my armpit. I went straight home and did so. As I was doing it I was slowly trying to massage it towards my nipple as much as I could. I ended up pumping out this thick yellow milk. It was more like a thick strand. I had a clogged duct and it was really bad. You aren't supposed to let it get that bad. After that came out I felt a lot better and the milk started coming out smoothly.
