Afraid you'll have an ugly baby?

Does anyone else have this irrational fear that they'll have an ugly baby?
I heard of this one lady telling me that she's tired of her sister asking her, "isn't my baby the cutest thing?" She's like, "I want to tell her your baby is ugly, and you constantly asking me about it makes me think they're even more ugly!"
Now I'm afraid my baby will come out looking like a wrinkly potato. 🙈

All babies look like wrinkly old people. And every parent is going to think their baby is the cutest, you will too. It's just a parent thing. We're all biased towards our own kids, no matter what.

I joked about the 'what ifs' with my friends when I was pregnant with my son. But the second I saw him I thought he was the most beautiful thing alive. And you will too. Don't worry. Lol

This was my baby at birth, my SO's bitch sister said she would be ugly because of me.. because we didn't get along. But, my baby is the most beautiful girl in the world to me ❤

Transformation for sure. From a premie to a stud. :) They either come out ugly and get cute or come out cute (hopefully stay cute) but might turn ugly. Lol

I'm afraid of this I'll admit. But it won't matter. Even if other people think your baby is "ugly" in your eyes, you'll think your baby is beautiful.

Just think about this. There really aren't any "ugly" babies. Have you seen any? Because I sure as hell have not. All babies are blessings and all unique on their own. But I know for certain that babies aren't born ugly. But I believe that your fear is rational. I think I've heard of a name for it somewhere online. Don't worry I'm sure your baby will be so precious and just wonderful! Good luck!

I fear this as well.. hoping he comes out cute but I also think a lot of babies look better in person. At a glimpse, my son looks like a little monkey lol but I love him and think he will be perfect. :)

My son looked really weird because he was 11 weeks early. But he developed more and got super cute. I was a little worried for a little bit though. Haha. I think it's something most people think about. It's ok.

I've honestly been so sick over this as well! Lol I don't want to be that mom posting newborn pics of my son and people secretly be thinking wow.. That baby is hidious! Lol however, my son's ultrasounds have made me feel slightly better..
