When to tell your boss

When are you all planning to tell your boss/work that you are pregnant? I am planning to tell them after my first ultrasound(8wks) cuz my morning sickness is just so terrible. Is it too early?

I told my boss pretty much straight away and some people at work. Only for the fact that I had a MMC last year and my job can be quite physical with heavy lifting etc, I didn't want them to think I am not completing my duties coz I'm lazy. I think you tell them when you are ready, there's no rule book :) good luck

I think you should tell them as soon as you're ready. Pregnancy can affect your work and they'll be more understanding even if something every goes wrong

I told mine like at 5 weeks. But I work in the hospital setting lifting people and codes etc not to mention the height of the Ebola scare was going on and I didn't want to be anywhere near that.
