Alcohol while doing stims?

Is it ok to have a glass or two of wine while doing stims for IVF? Or should this be avoided? Can it have an effect on retrieval or egg quality?

I had a glass or two here and there. It helped keep me calm. I was also buying a house and we closed two days before the egg retrieval so there was plenty to stress about. I couldn't say whether or not it had a negative effect because I have nothing to compare it to, but I'm currently pregnant (24 weeks) and have 4 frozen embryos. 3 of my original 5 embryos were very good quality so no complaints.

My doctor said it was fine. I only had two drinks though during the process when I was out at a friend's house. I also took Nyquil every night. That does have a tiny bit of alcohol in it but it helped keep me sane after the injections. I was so bloated and uncomfortable and the Nyquil would let me drift off to sleep. My egg retrieval went as planned with exactly what they had predicted if a little better. I took follistim, menopur, cetrotide, and then the HGC trigger. I may take Lupron next time so not sure if you can have alcohol with that. I did NOT drink coffee however because caffeine has been shown to reduce egg growth apparently so I bought organic decaf and drank it maybe every other day.

I had a glass here and there but just like the other girls I did avoid caffeine. I had read something like with IVF it increases odds of mc (or the embryo not surviving) by 40%.

My transfer went well and I'm pregnant from the fresh transfer with 3 frozen blasts.
