What to expect at the NT scan and testing?

My appointment is Monday, I'm excited to see my baby again! I'll be 13 weeks 5 days. If they can tell the Gender they would defintly ask me if I want to kno right? My sister will be there but I am having a gender reveal party and I don't want to spoil the surprise plus my bf and I want to find out together. I think if they asked me I would ask them to write it down and put it in an envelope and my bf and I would open it together.do you think that's unrealistic? What can I expect at the ultrasound?

It's to early to see the gender at 13 weeks, the whole purpose of the NT scan to check for potential Down syndrome not to find out the gender x

You can sometimes see the gender but the woman doing my scan refused to even look that early, they are more interested in doing the test

I'm not sure if your baby would be far along enough to see if it's a boy or girl.

They usually measure baby at this stage and once baby is a bit bigger and better devoloped at 20 weeks , they tell you the gender .

I don't see them telling you the gender at 13weeks. It's still too early for them to be 100% positive. If you get a private 3d scan they can tell you at 16weeks. But normally a doctor won't tell you until your between 18 and 20weeks
