If so, are you having one? If you don't know what a lotus birth is do your research. It's pretty interesting.

My husband wants to do it with this baby but I'm like nah. I want that placenta for myself, thank you very much. Placenta pills FTW.

Umm yea I won't be carrying my baby and placenta until it falls off.  I will delay the cutting of the cord but it will get sniped and encapsulated for my consumption.  I think I'd be weirded out if I met a new mom who walks around with their placenta attached to their baby.

Ummm I think some of you have it wrong 😂😂 not all lotus births have the placenta attached until it falls off , I've read just allow the cord to stay attached for an extra 10mins allows the baby to get the rest of the iron and nutrition that it's has then cutting the cord

I just know that personally I wont have time or energy to fuss with carrying around a baby and a placenta. Plus I really wanted to encapsulate my placenta and they need to have it pretty fresh. 
If you can manage the extra baggage (haha) then more power to you!!!

So I thought about this a little more then researched a little more. So the whole keeping the placenta attached until the cord naturally falls off thing isn't entirely "naturally" accurate. Scientists believe that even centuries ago mothers would chew through the cord to release their child from the placenta, just like animals do. Then they would eat the placenta, just like animals do.

My sister almost did. But I want to instead do delayed clamping and then encapsulate the placenta. Its not doing anything anymore once it stops pulsing, it is of no use to the baby and is of use to a mother in her postpartum healing process. Although i have no issue with mums that do, i prefer to consume the nutrients to help me heal :) either way is interesting though
