I have a question. Can someone answer?

Im not sure if I want a baby shower. For one I have my family. Like my mom, dad, uncle and aunt, and nana...which I dont think will be here much longer and I dont have friends that I talk to I stay to myself. Would it be okay just to buy myself a cake and me and my boyfriend eat it and celebrate it that way haha? I have no idea how these things work....

You could always do a family celebration with girls AND guys, not the formal traditional baby shower cliche stuff.
 I literally had one friend, the rest family (my side and husbands side), and some of my moms friends at my shower with my daughter. It was nice and all but so not me. 
This time around my friend is throwing is a beer/BBQ party in my backyard - real casual, fun, very us. 
But if you and your man just want to get a cake by all means do that!

I think that would be perfectly okay. it's completely your choice & you should do what makes you comfortable. Parties where the attention would be on me would make me an anxious wreck so I told my s/o the that I really didn't want a baby shower at all and that it would make me really happy if he would just support my decision, he is totally for it. do what feels right to you!

Of course :) I didn't want one at all. I had to convince everyone I was serious and not to bother. We are going to do a meet and greet after she is born.

I'm right there with you. Except I have two mother in laws that can't be in the same room as each other, one of them a mega racist so she can't be around my Mexican family. I have no friends in the same state anymore, and I really dislike my extended family and would hate to be around them. I would love to have a baby shower but just thinking about it depresses me so we're skipping out on it.
