Sex during pregnancy

I'm 37+4 weeks and we haven't had sex in over e months (which is about the time I started showing) my SO just admitted that he doesn't want to do it because I'm pregnant. This hurt a little inside when he said that. Is that normal for the guy to not want to have sex anymore? I'm trying to get this baby out and I heard sex can trigger labor. But it sucks he doesn't want to do anything!
