So this has been quite the week. Passed out last Monday and ended up in the er all night, started spotting on Sunday, and then today had our 12 week ultrasound for generic testing saw the heartbeat and thought all was well. The midwife called not hours later to tell us that we are at risk for downs syndrome and/or a heart defect. We will have the blood results in a few days but they are pretty sure we will need to go the big city hospital for another ultrasound and a non-invasive blood test to find fetal cells in my blood to do further generic testing. I am starting to feel like this pregnancy wasn't meant to be.
