Doc says IUI won't help. Did it work for you?

Question

My fertility dr says IUI won't boost my chances very much. 42, everything checked and works fine, even my hubby's sperm. Who out there is over 40 and IUI worked?

Answer

It might be that if all tests are good, less likely to be where the sperm goes (vagina versus iui) more likely to be egg quality which is more of an issue as we age. I think the evidence is with ivf with egg quality as the get more eggs in one go and pick the best of the bunch, and put the most promising back. Good-luck.
