When to start an OPK

Question

Hi ladies. My DH was away on business last month so we lost some time. My AF is due to stop today (very light flow) and I'm wondering when I should start using my opk I bought. Just note my fertile window extends to April 1 which isn't shown in the pic.

I have a 27 day cycle, like clock work. I ovulate on day 14 almost always. But have gotten a positive OPK on day 12 and 13 before. So I start OPK's on day 11. Unlike a preggo test u DON'T want morning urine. Try to test mid day around 1-3 and when u haven't used the potty for at least 2 hrs so the urine is not diluted. Once u get a positive (test line DARKER or same as control) u need to get busy. U have a small window, 12-24hrs for egg to get fertilized. This is also why u want to BD 2-4 days before u ovulate because sperm can live up to 5 days in a woman And u want it there ready and waiting! Because once the egg is released it sends a signal out that will awaken any waiting sperm and they will race for that egg!

Thanks for the advice. I've never done this before. The box says for 28 day cycles I start testing day 11 but maybe I will start day 10 to be safe.   Should I test at 2pm?

Most ladies start around CD10. I start a few days earlier because sometimes my cycles are shorter.

When I used opks, I had tons of the cheap wondfo strips so I tested starting at cd6 until a positive at cd15 (sometimes twice a day) however I'm a neurotic crazy lady.  I think starting on cd10 is pretty standard, but I don't know how many tests you have.  What do the directions recommend?
