Infant constipation?

My son is 3 weeks old. I'm breastfeeding and doing some formula feeding to supplement. He hasn't had a BM in 2 full days but he is very gassy and fussy, so I know that he needs to. 
My pediatrician suggested Karo Syrup, which I read after giving to him can cause infant botulism, so I think I'm looking for a new pediatrician now. Its been hours and if anything, his gas has gotten worse. Any alternative suggestions on how to relieve my baby? He is so fussy, it makes me sad!

My baby is 4 weeks today and couldn't go at all yesterday was super fussy and mad. My husband tried this and my goodness she pooped for the next 3 diaper changes. May want to try this before using other food remedies.

I was told unless I see constipated poo( little hard nuggets of poop ) that baby is probably not constipated and not to react too quickly, but if a week passes with BM talk to dr.

Breastfeed babies can go 10 days without doing a poo. My b/f baby is supplemented and has averaged a poo every 4-5 days. She farts a lot.

Glycerin suppositories. They're completely safe for babies. Your baby's body heat with initially melt the suppository & it works within 10-20 minutes. My daughter has always had a problem with going a few days at a time & her belly would be tight & she would get fussy 😭 they come in long sticks, mine do anyway, I would break off a little piece from it & insert it. You can also try gas drops, gripe water, & I also did the colic relief drops from little remedies & I could tell it made her feel better.

My baby boy was severely constipated for months after he was born. My doctor taught me this awesome method that worked amazingly. He couldn't go at all himself so I'd have to do it every day to help him relieve himself. Take a qtip and Vaseline. Get the tip really saturated with Vaseline. You can't put too much and extra will just help it come out. Put the tip in his bottom and swirl it around. As in move in circles around the circumference of his bottom (not just twisting it in your fingers) Do this for a couple seconds and by time you pull the qtip out poo should be coming too. Like I said I did this at least once every day and it was the only thing that worked. We also tried prune supplements and drug store baby constipation remedies and those didn't work for us.

When my son was 4 weeks old he was very constipated and my pediatrician told me to go to the store and by the Gerber baby apple juice and just give him an ounce of that a day until not needed anymore . So o came home gave it to him and probably an hour or two later he let it allllll out and he was the happiest he has been lol. The gassiness and fussiness is just a stage. He is now 13 weeks old and he has no problems with gas or pooping!
