Alcohol during teething.
I don't have kids myself, but my mother did run very small amounts of scotch or whiskey on my gums and my 3 brothers while we were teething, usually at night while using children's panadol or bonjella during the day (my older brothers did not have that, as they are much older).
A friend of mine who is an 18 year old single mother, has a 7 month old girl who's currently teething, and cries all night. She uses bonjella and children's panadol, and her doctor said its okay to rub some alcohol on her gums. My friend said she refuses to do this, and she's well within her right to.
My question is, do you think it's okay to do, or not at all?
I personally never questioned it, as my parents did it for me and my siblings, as did my grandparent for my parents, and plenty of other parents I know.
