Swelling?!!!!?

Question

Had my daughter last Friday 4/8/16 and have had extreme swelling in my legs and feet since delivery . Nurses advised if not gone in 2 weeks call OB . Has anyone else experienced this ? Anything to help other than elevation? Please help ?!!!!

I had this for first couple of weeks. 
My feet were reallyyy swollen. My doctor advised 3 things. 
Walk a lot don't just sit all day. 
When sitting elevate ur feet 
& last drink plenty of water
It really helped.

Omg, yes! My feet never swell during pregnancy, but they became huge after I delivered. It hurt so bad to walk! All I did was keeping them elevated as much as I could (kinda hard to do with a newborn & a toddler to take care of) but the swelling went away after about 5 days or so.
The nurse at the hospital told me it was because of all the fluids they give us during delivery and it could last for 2 to 3 weeks.

I had a little swelling before labor.  A little over week pp it came back pretty bad. I had to go in for blood work and do blood pressure check 3 times.  I was told to increase water intake and elevate feet. Next day or two it went down.  At 5 week pp it came back worse. Done blood work again and was given fluid pills. Went today for 6 weeks pp appointment and labs came back OK and swelling gone.

I had crazy swollen feet for the first week--so huge I had to crush the sides of some soft shoes and basically walk on top of them. I wore compression socks for a couple days and that helped (in addition to rest, elevation, ibuprofen, and staying hydrated). Good luck! I know how uncomfortable it is those first few days.
