Basal Body Temperature measurements and Pregnancy

A
Hello Guys,
Let me tell you just a little bit about me. I am a doctor and I am TTC for our 1st baby. For the past 2 months I am trying to measure basal body temperature or BBT. It is a reflection of progesterone in our body.
As one approaches the ovulation the bbt starts showing changes. Just before an ovulation there might be a slight dip in the bbt about 0.5 F. It will come back to baseline on the day of ovulation and it will shoot up by about 0.5 F or more after the ovulation. It will stay up and above the baseline. They say it may have another rise during implantation. But I think it will bit tricky to appreciate it as BBT fluctuate at times if it is not taken everyday at the same time.
As one is about to get period it will start coming down in just 2 days and the day it touches baseline next day or two one will get their period. Hence if you think you are confused as to when to take pregnancy test I would suggest try this for at least 2-3 months  before you can actually would start noticing what's exactly happening.
In my experience this has really worked for me and whatever symptoms I may have or may not have I wait till I see a drop and I know it's a time for my AF to come.
If temperatures stay up beyond your due AF date then you know it's time to check pregnancy. Many of us go through this apprehension of having symptoms and trying to relate it to pregnancy. But I think if you know your temperatures you are rest assured that you are still in there.
All the best and baby dust to all!!
