Pills and cramps
I've been on birth control since one month before my wedding last July (so about 10 months).
Before, my periods were super regular, about 3-4 days, not too heavy, and no cramps... Like ever! I remember the ONE time I got cramps cause I thought I was dying!!!
Now, of course when I have my week off pills, I get my "period". It's super light, with the exception of some heavy tissue at times, and lasts a little longer 4-5 days.
BUT THE CRAMPS!!! On the first day (usually the second day off the pills) I my cramps are unbelievable. Like I sometimes have to just lay down for a while and sometimes even Midol doesn't curb em...
I feel weird cause I never had them before and my hubby is SUPER sympathetic and sweet (even going to get me chocolate after being at law school and work for 13 hours one day). But, I feel bad about it. I came from a no period talk kinda house. My mom said women who complained were babies haha.
And I feel awkward even asking and explaining the details. But I gotta know!
Is it normal for cramps to get like this with the pills? I switched pills about 6 months ago and the headaches and fatigue that I suffered everyday went away. If it's normal, then I can deal with it a few days a month. I just wanna make sure it's normal!
This is my first post so please forgive any weirdness 🙋🏻
