OMG NAMES!!!!

Carolee
We're expecting our 2nd son this July. My husband's family has a tradition of naming all the boys names that begin with J. Our first son is Jameson. Jack was our top choice for number two, until it dawned on me Jack is also a common whiskey name. So we've been looking into other names too. Tonight I heard "Jeremiah" on a commercial, looked at my husband, and we both had that "name lightbulb" moment. My husband asked his brother Jeremy if he'd be offended if we choose that name, in case he ever wants a Jeremy Jr., and he said he didn't mind if we used it. My husband is thrilled over it. He has practically christened our second son already. AND DANG IT IF HE DIDN'T LOOK IT UP, because he sent me a message and came into the room to see my face when I clicked on the link, and it's a Wikipedia page for JEREMIAH WEED WHISKEY!!!! I mean, seriously?! ANOTHER DANG WHISKEY!!! He doesn't think it's a big deal, he even laughed about it. But I just want to go stick my head in the oven!!! My top non-whiskey choices are Jasper and Jacob, which my husband vetoed. He suggested Jackson which I vetoed, because I'm not going for a "-son" ending theme either. Why is this so hard?! Why are all the classic J names whiskey names?! Our parents don't even drink! We're from the South, so drinking whiskey is common but having a running theme of naming your children whiskey names is frowned upon.
I'm having a full pregnancy hormone fuled rage fit over this. My husband hates all the J names I suggest. And I swear I'm looking at naming websites ALL THE TIME. We finally agree on something besides Jack, and it's another whiskey! 😫
