I am planning to get a hanging hammock cradle instead of a crib. I lived for a while in Manila and hanging cradles made of soft woven rope were quite popular. It made a lot of sense to me, so I am doing it. It's a bit different from the picture above though. It will hang from the ceiling, and be larger in size.

If I had space in my tiny 1 bedroom apartment, I would get that for baby. And then get a hammock for me right next to it.
