Sunny side up?

Question

My doctor told me the baby is sunny side up and I'm 38 weeks.. I'm really worried especially since he's in the 95% but doc doesn't want to schedule a c section. Anyone experience birthing a big baby in that position. I'm kind of freaking out..

My daughter was sunny side up, 8lbs9oz, AND had her arm next to her head when she came out! (Hubby joked that she was waving...) It made for more pressure/pain when pushing, and she was all bruised up on her head when she came out. There was also some fluid in her lungs, but she was overall healthy. 
It was defintely harder then my previous delivery, but not impossible. I only pushed about 20 mins.

My dd was face up and delivered vaginally.  No reason for a c-section, especially since baby can turn around multiple times in a day like that.

My daughter was sunny side up don't know if she would really be considered big or not (8lbs 3oz). Had the most god awful back labor because of it and they refused to give me pain meds so I was in absolute hell. They actually came in my room at one point and asked me to keep it down cause I was scaring the other women. Really the only problem during actual delivery was that she came down into the canal crooked and into my left hip and got stuck but that had nothing to do with being Sunnyside up. I hope this kiddo faces down cause back labor ain't no joke!

I'm not an expert, but I believe they can flip to face the back even during labor. I also know several women who've delivered that way. I think it's a more difficult labor, but probably not cause for a c-section

I did! If he's willing to let you labor in different positions it helps to not be on your back. My labor was long but we didn't know he was face up. It wasn't awful, it was manageable and he got here safe! I'd just stay home as long as you can to help labor progress. Also a huge chance he flips before birth! You can check out spinning babies and try some of that stuff uf you want

My first was that way, but I delivered him vaginally. I had an episiotomy, had to get stiches. But other then that every thing went smoothly :)

My daughter was sunny side up when I went into labor. During labor, they had me get on all fours and push a little bit a few times. I got her to flip over, at 9cm dilated. She was 8 lb 9oz! I was at a c-section friendly hospital and they told me if I couldn't flip her it would go to surgery and I really didn't want that. Had back problems a lot through the pregnancy, and that must have been why!

My daughter was born sunny side up vaginally, and labor was less than 12 hours, but I pushed for about an hour and a half. Back labor was terrible though.

I had my last daughter sunny side up and she came vaginally it does cause a little more pain but she was 8lbs 15oz and coming sunny side up but hey she came vaginally

Sunny side up isn't a reason for a c-section at all. Don't worry!
