Hey everyone! I just had an IUD implanted in me about 4 hours ago today. It was the worst pain I've ever felt in my life, I cried the entire time it was being inserted and I have a high pain tolerance.. The kind of IUD I have is skyla - a three year lasting IUD and it is the smallest one they make. I just wanted to know if anyone had a similar expieranxe pain wise - also - the pain right now is still very extreme even after taking 5 ibuprofen and a midol. I really need the cramps to go away I'm doing everything I can... Can someone also tell me what it's like to have this removed because right now I'm terrified of the whole thing. I'm so scared to put a tampon in and I don't use pads, I'm so scared to have sex again, I'm so scared to put my fingers up there and feel the string because I don't want it to hurt. I'm not kidding the pain was so bad I can't even think about it because I just start to get very upset and tear up thinking about going through that again in three years with the removal. Is the removal as bad... I'm just really upset over this whole expieranxe and just want someone to tell me if they went through the same thing and If it got better... I know I'm being such a baby right now but it was just a really awful thing for me
