Are antidepressants safe to take while pregnant?

Any medicine prescription or otherwise should be consulted with your OB while pregnant I thought? But if the antidepressants affect your serotonin levels I would definitely talk to them because that can affect your mood but physically which could be dangerous for both of you. Likely unless it is imperative a doc would suggest not taking them I think :/ Wishing you well!

Your OBGYN will recommend a medication that is safe to use while pregnant. I am on sertraline for anxiety and depression and she's discussed all different medications and how they function with pregnancy.
