Carrier of Cystic Fibrosis?

Anyone on here carriers for cystic fibrosis? My husband and I just found we both are and now are planning for a screening😬 It's only 25% chance of our baby having CF but so nerve wracking!

I'm a carrier but my husband is not so when I was pregnant with my last son I was told to be tested... I refused and my son was born healthy!! Stay positive!! There is always hope! This pregnancy I opted out of testing for it!

25% is high, undoubtedly. But that still leaves you with a 75% of having a healthy baby! The odds are in your favor, momma! GOOD LUCK ❤

Think positive. The disease would be way more common if all of the 25% risks had babies with CF. From all the genetics math I can remember from college, you've got a chance for a healthy baby without the gene, two chances for a healthy carrier, and a possibility of a baby with CF. That's three of the four who don't have it.  Cc (a carrier) + Cc (carrier) = CC (cf baby) or Cc (carrier) or Cc (carrier) or cc (no cf gene)

25% is a HIGH chance if ur both carriers. My sister was that 25%. So instead of a huge smiley face id be praying for a healthy baby. Good luck.
