Is Zoloft safe through your entire pregnancy??

MamaBeckstead#2
I have had anxiety and panic since I was 21 years old. I'm 32 now. For me it is very hereditary and chemical, medication works really well and I have no symptoms when I'm taking daily mild dose of Zoloft. After I had my first baby postpartum I was extremely anxious and basically panicky every single day. I was advised by my doctor during the first pregnancy to stop taking antidepressants at week 16 because there are some chances of complications at birth if taken into third trimester. At that time I was taking Celexa and it worked really well. So I was off of anxiety meds for that second two trimesters and I felt fine. But then with the whole hormone drop after I had the baby my panic kicked up again in a big way. I was able to get on Zoloft within two days of giving birth and it was safe to breast-feed with. But for the 4 to 6 weeks it took for the medication to take effect it was awful and I was panicked every single day. I really would like to avoid the panicky 4 to 6 weeks postpartum this time and I wonder if there's anyone out there that has been in this position and knows of a medication that is possibly OK to take throughout the whole pregnancy. I plan to ask my OB on Monday at my appointment but I would love to hear others experiences for points of reference. Anyone??
