Babies born at 35 weeks?

Question

I have been admitted to L & D again, my blood pressure has gone up and they are looking at scheduling a c section for me asap. Any moms have babies this early and did they have any problems or nicu time? I am 35 +2 today.

My son was 35+4 and spent 5 days in NICU.  He was 8lbs8oz! Needed some help breathing and the jaundice lights but he did great.

My first was a 35 weeker.  She did not go to nicu but, she was in hospital for 6 days.  Nurses had a hard time getting her blood sugar regulated.  She was also jaundice.  Good luck!

My second was 35w5d and he had immature lungs and caught pneumonia on his first breath. He had to be on an incubator for 4 days because he was so weak and dehydrated he couldn't do it on his own. The hospital I had him at waited 10hrs to call for nicu help. They couldn't get an iv on him because of dehydration so they used the vein at his forehead, the transport team told me he may not make it the 1 1/2hr drive to the nearest nicu... He was 6lbs 5oz and was 20 1/2inces long... He had to spend 7days in the NICU. We fought RSV, pneumonia, bronchitis throughout his whole first year of life.. Including almost losing him 5 times. He is now 10years old and has asthma. 
I know this isn't the story all momma's want to hear but sometime 35weekers are ok and sometimes they are not. I pray your little one is good and healthy.

My first was born at 35+4 weeks (my membranes spontaneously ruptured) and she was perfectly healthy. Weighed 6 lb 4 oz and didn't need the slightest help breathing or any extra stay in the hospital. They'll prepare you for it, but don't stress too much! Good luck!
