Involving husband with TTC

So this morning I squatted down and checked my cervix and CM while I was in the shower with my husband. He was kinda grossed out, even after I explained what I was doing and what I found. I told him that is trying to have a baby is a team effort and he needs to know what's going on and be involved, to which he said, yeah, but I don't want to know all the details! So I guess my question is: is checking these things something that should stay a mystery like peeing and other bodily stuff, or is this something you girls involve your husbands in? And do other guys get grossed out by this too?
