Same name as a pet?

Question

So I'm torn a little on our name choice.  My wife and I had a handful of names that we've tossed around.  We finally settled on Finn, but then the new Star Wars came out and ruined that.  We had a backup picked out and then on day a name popped in my head that I've always liked.  I mentioned to my wife and we both immediately agreed that was it.
Now here's the rub.  The next day I remembered that I bought a pet snake a few years ago and named it the same thing.  My wife actually bought it for me as a gift but neither of us remembered right away as the snake fell ill and passed after only a few months.
I really, really, really want to use the name, and it doesn't seem to bother my wife at all.  Somehow it just feels weird, and the superstitious side of me is worried about jinxing our baby since the snake didn't fair well.
What do you all think?  Forget the snake and use the name, or try to find something we'll like as well?  We like the name so much that I'm worried I'll always regret not using it.

I'm trying to talk my husband into us using a name that we also had a dog named.  To be fair, it's a family name. And that dog was like our first child. I have a tattoo of the dog as well. Our child would go by a nick name and we wouldn't tell him that he was named after the dog because he really isn't. He'd be named after his Grandfather, great Grandfather and Uncle.

I think it's fine! I love the name Emma and we used to have a dog named Emma that passed as well but I feel like a let and a child aren't even comparable like Emma the dog is totally different then my sweet baby girl Emma. That's probably why you didn't even remember it was your snakes name at first. No worries if you love it, it's perfect.

Superstitious or not (I am not) I would personally never use a name for my child that I have used for a pet, I say change it!
