Natural birth?

Question

Is anyone here planning a natural birth with their twins? I'm 10.5 weeks with di-di twins and haven't really wrapped my mind around the delivery part yet. I had a vaginal birth with epidural with my first daughter, vaginal with no drugs with my second and I was hoping for a water birth with baby #3. But now that I know it's twins, I'm not sure how realistic this is, do I need to prepare myself for c-section? I know there are so many variables, and a lot f it I won't know until I'm close to the end. I guess I'm just wondering where everyone else is on this. Thanks.

I am!!! I am 34 weeks and all the signs are pointing that we have a great chance of a normal vaginal delivery. Praying it stays that way even though you never know. Both twin boys are head down, no other complications and I am getting closer and closer to full term shwew.

Although I still am not sure how the delivery of two is possible lol I am keeping faith that everything will go good! I'm terrified of c-sections 😖 I had my first son all natural.

I'm 34 weeks with mono di twins and scheduled for an induction at 36 weeks.  My doctor said that I will most likely have a c section from the start.  But since they have been head down and there aren't any complications, she's fine with attempting a vaginal delivery.  For di di twins it shouldn't be an issue.  Just stress what you want and if they say no without a reason, switch doctors.

I don't know much about it, but my sister had her twins vaginally. She did tell me she had to have an epidural in case she had to have a c-section & she also delivered in an operating room. They wanted to be prepared. But that was at a hospital. Not a birthing center :) good luck! Definitely something to discuss with a midwife

My midwife gave me the option.  She said in her experience with di di twins, even if they are both in a head down position,  the majority if the time after the 1st comes out, the 2nd one turns and you end up with a c section anyway.  I had an absolutely awful vaginal delivery with my 1st and all i keep thinking is i dont want to tear that bad and have a c section to deal with as well 😳 now idk what to do!

I think as long as babies are in the right position there shouldn't be a problem with a natural birth. I have heard of woman with twins give birth natural.

Unless there is a complication that will not allow it, there is no reason you cannot have a natural both with your babies. If your OB/midwife doesn't give you any other option but c-section right from the start, you need to look for another one!

One reason I chose a midwife instead of a doctor this time was because I didn't want to be forced into a csection from the start. (I had an appt this week and my midwife had an emergency so I just met with another doctor and without even being prompted he started talking about me getting a csection which disturbed me)
I know a lot of it will just depend, but I'm really hoping I can go naturally as well. I had 0 complications with my first and feel like I'm more than capable as long as babies cooperate!
