Some are a week but to be safe 2 weeks

Mine says 7 days after starting it but I've been on it 15 days ish and I'm ever so slightly bleeding, am I still covered or not?

definitely read your pamphlet closely. when I was put on my pill my doctor told me to use another form of bc for a month, but my pamphlet said one week. I waited the month just to be safe.
