Tampons or pads???

Question

So I started my first period march 14 and I've had 2 periods since then and I hate pads but I don't know if it's too early to be wearing tampons I'm 12 and I'm scared to ask my mom if I can switch to tampons are tampons better or pads when you first start

I will tell your Mom , I have a 9 year old girl and I hope she comes to me with questions like this when its her time . No one told me and I tried to use one by myself . I forgot to take the applicator out 🙈🙊 I end up going to my mom because it was so uncomfortable and it was much more embarrassing to tell her my mishap . Plus you'll probably need her help buying them each month . Mothers want their girls to come to them a bout everything ! We have been there ! Talk to her about everything and anything . Trust me she will be there for you through many obstacles. I wish I had gone to my Mom more growing up instead of making my own mistakes. Now I am 34 and my mom is my best friend .

A lot of people prefer tampons, myself included. There isn't really a right or wrong time to start using them, as long as you are comfortable with it and you have someone you trust to help answer any questions you may have. Your mom probably knows a lot more about all this than you'll learn from strangers on the internet, and there would be no reason for her to get upset about you asking questions. It might be a little scary, but you should definitely talk to your mom. I'm sure she'll be understanding! 😘

I'm 18 and I tried using one but since I'm a very 'tight' girl it didn't work for me... It kinda hurted and it was very uncomfortable for me... So I really don't have a choice :( they get really annoying

Well to be honest most people say wait to use a tampon until u have had sex first  because they say a tampon can cause you to lose your virginity idk of this is true or not but ask your mom she would want you to speak with her about it ... I never had a mom or dad and wish I would of cause I didn't learn bout periods until I was 13 and I thought I was dying cause no one never told !me XD yes it was hilarious now that I think on it bahah ! Tampons are so much better! I started using them on my 2nd period so I could go to the beach. Took me forever to get it in the first time. When you sit on the toilet and put it in, don't try to angle it straight up, angle it back towards your bum. Life is better with tampons 💛

I have been using tampons for two cycles and I'm thirteen now. Tampons are pretty easy to use but they might hurt while you take them out if you're "tight".  Ask a trusted adult about it for more info.

Most women start with using pads when they first get their period but you'll soon realize how much better tampons feel. Pads make me feel so gross and tampons help make me feel like I barley have a period at times. Talk to your mom, she'll understand. She's been there.
