Off BC: How long did it take you to get your period?

Question

I was on the pill for 13 years. I went off the pill in December and haven't gotten my period yet. It's impossible to conceive when I'm not even ovulating 😯 How long did it take you to get your first real period after going ofd north control? I'm on day 126 of my cycle with no end I site!

BTW - no need to suggest Clomid or other medications. My husband is a Doctor and refuses to allow me to take them due to the risks.

I came off the Bc 13th Feb 2016, had my withdrawal bleed on 23rd Feb and then had my first proper period on March 23rd bang on a month after my withdrawal bleed. Im 23 not over weight just normal really. I guess everyone is different :( hope Af makes her appearance soon!!

I was on the pill for almost 9 years. Got off of it in November and got my period right around the time I expected it, but then I did have a really short cycle. I think it was only 10 or so days before I got my next period. But since then I've been totally regular. Ranging from 25-28 day cycles.

I went off the pill in January after 11 years. I never got a period after birth control. I started getting annoyed/concerned in March I was on like cycle day 67 and then I finally ovulated. I got pregnant. So I never had a period after birth control. It's possible that you could get pregnant because you could ovulate and not  realize it since you haven't had a regular cycle yet. I hope this is helpful! Hang in there, I was the same way I wanted to wait it out besides doing any alternative means.

My best friend had her period after one year. I got mine exactly the next cycle on time. It can take up to a year for your body to get rid of the BC hormones.

I was on the pill for 10 years, got off in August. 1st AF was at 22 days, 2nd was at 40 days, 3rd was 14. I was super irregular so I used opk to see when I was ovulating and never got a positive until January. I got pregnant with my 1st positive but had a missed miscarriage.

I was on for seven years. I stopped in July of last year. I had spotting when I came off, then what I thought might be a period in November. Then the next was January. It seemed to normalize then. I got it in February and got pregnant that month! Good luck!

I got off the pill 1 year ago in December and in January  my period normal right after that but my cycle didn't change until 3 months and stayed consistent after that.

I was on the pill for 7 years. Came off it this past August. In September, I had one drop of blood as a period, and in October, two drops.     Each month, it's gotten a bit heavier. March was the first month where it seems like a normal period. Luckily, I have been ovulating regularly since October. So, just hoping to get lucky soon! There's an egg and enough of a uterine lining there now!

I was on BC for 14 years and stopped in September and I got it 37 days later my cycles are now pretty regular anywhere between 33-35 days

I stopped taking my bc pills back in October, got pregnant and miscarried in December. I was bleeding from December 30th-March 9th. My OB told me to take 3 bc pills for 3 days, 2 pills for 2 days then to finish off the pack 1 a day. It finally made the bleeding stop! Then I got my period on March 19th and it lasted for 6 days. Now I'm just playing the waiting game to see when it decides to come back..I know it's going to take time before it regulates itself back out.. Getting kind of nervous but it's better than the nonstop bleeding I had at the beginning of the year!
