Why did I still get my period after skipping the pills I'm supposed to take while I'm on my period? Is there any other way to stop from getting my period while I'm on birth control? 
* FYI I've been on the pill for 4 or 5 months now. Idk if that'll have anything to do with it.

if you're skipping periods, I would suggest asking your doctor to switch to Seasonel - 84 active days and one week break (4 periods a year) it's great!! and for while your bleeding, it's probably just breakthrough and you're suppose to have that break but it's fine and should stop soon.

Those pills you're supposed to take while on your period are sugar pills. They're optional. Talk to your doctor if you want a method of birthcontrol that delays periods

Immediately start a new pack on the days you're supposed to take the placebo pills. That'll stop you from getting a period.
